Description of books by Dennis N Crouse

This book is written so that you can understand how best to take care of your brain, and the brains of those you love, in order to prevent Alzheimer’s disease, autism, and stroke.  For the last 50 years, in spite of excellent research, the causes of Alzheimer’s, autism, and stroke have remained controversial.  It may be years before all needed research is performed and the controversy ends. But a tipping point has been reached and there is convincing evidence that aluminum accumulation in our bodies and brains can cause Alzheimer’s, autism, and stroke.  This book describes this evidence and gives you a course of action to decrease aluminum accumulation in your brain.  This book also gives you recommendations on how to keep the brain chemically fit.  Making a decision to adopt these recommendations requires balancing the benefits of taking action versus the risks of not taking action.  After reading this book I think you will agree that the benefits of preventing Alzheimer’s, autism, and stroke make following these recommendations worthwhile.

This book is about silica water containing an overlooked miracle molecule that protects our life and maintains our health. It is in our bodies even before birth but during our life it ebbs and flows and needs supplementation to be steadily maintained.  This superstar of a molecule is called orthosilicic acid (OSA). For most organisms, including humans, it is essential for life. In fact, it is said that OSA is the most important molecule for life on earth. OSA is a miracle molecule because it protects plants, animals, and even humans from toxic forms of aluminum. The mechanisms by which plants and animals, including humans, use OSA as protection from aluminum toxicity are described in Chapter 2.

Drug companies are currently spending millions of dollars on multi-year studies looking for preventatives and cures for Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and cancer.  What if there are already published studies on populations of 90 to 100 year olds whose longevity is due to abnormally low rates of Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and cancer? If these studies exist they would be equivalent to having century long longitudinal studies just waiting for people to find what they have in common that prevented and possibly cured these diseases.

These zones are called “blue zones”.  The environment and lifestyle of these zones can potentially teach valuable lessons that may allow us to achieve healthy longevity by preventing and possibly healing diseases that can shorten our lives, such as Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, cancer, seizures, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.

Could it be that all six blue zones have in common substrata rich in silicate minerals? If so underground fresh water in contact with this substrata could bubble to the surface as OSA rich drinking water.  Chapter 3 of this book discloses the secret of healthy longevity – how and why drinking silica rich water results in healthy longevity.

This book is about essential nutrients as overlooked miracle molecules required for development of our brains and IQ while in the womb and after birth. They help us optimize immunity to viruses and maintain our cognition as we age. They do this by detoxifying and enhancing the elimination of xenobiotic chemicals.

Xenobiotic chemicals are found within an organism, but unlike essential nutrients they are not naturally produced or expected to be present in unusually high concentrations. Examples of xenobiotic chemicals are:

  • Aluminum
  • Fluoride
  • Mercury
  • Arsenic
  • Lead
  • PCB’s
  • Chlorpyrifos

These xenobiotic chemicals are all neurotoxic and accumulate in the body primarily in the brain. They are called “brain drainers” because they lower the IQ and decrease cognition in children and adults. Most of these xenobiotic chemicals are primarily anthropogenic pollutants that have been introduced into the environment in the last 100 years by the actions of humans. Because they are newly introduced, our evolved protective mechanisms, that rely upon essential nutrients, have become overwhelmed with the high levels of these pollutants in drinking water, food, pharmaceuticals, and even the air we breathe.

As human biochemistry evolved, essential nutrients were used to provide protection from toxic chemicals in the earth’s crust. These essential nutrients are called “brain savers” and they provide targeted detox of brain draining xenobiotic chemicals.    Humans also use brain saving essential nutrients to modulate their response to viral attack. Viruses, such as Rubella and SARS-CoV-2, cause neurological damage. Rubella crosses the placental barrier and kills neurons resulting in children with a range of brain disfunctions from short attention span to mental retardation. Seventy percent of those infected with SARS-CoV-2 have anosmia (i.e., lack of sense of smell). SARS-CoV-2 likely causes anosmia by killing or disabling neurons in the nose and olfactory bulb of the brain. Vaccines and essential nutrients are brain savers from viral attack by both optimizing long-term immunity while maximizing the cure rate and minimizing the death rate of those infected.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is prevalent in the U.S. with an estimated 6.2 million people age 65 and older currently living with AD. Unfortunately, my mother, a carrier of the ApoE e4 allele, is one of those people. Being trained in biochemistry and chemistry, I decided to identify the cause of AD so a cure for mom could be found.

Once the cause of a disease is known it is possible to find potential cures for the disease.

This book describes both the use of causal inference to create a unified theory of what causes Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and potential cures for AD. Causal inference is a relatively new science that is much like climbing a ladder where each rung is based upon scientific evidence and each rung strengthens the ladder, ultimately finding the cause of a disease. It took years but I slowly climbed this ladder as described in this book and found the cause and a cure for mom’s AD along with drugs and supplements for palliative relief.

My mother is now 95 and, although her short-term memory is far from perfect, she can still remember things that just happened. Anecdotal information of others who have had some success with this cure are described in this book.
